4 Quick, Healthy and Tasty Indian Recipes for Breakfast


Today again we are here to share some amazing healthy breakfast recipes.

We have a saying that breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper. Breakfast is the most important meal and due to busy schedules, we are not getting enough time to prepare our breakfast properly. Breakfast should always be healthy and it should never be skipped at all.

Skipping breakfast is the biggest mistake one can commit to staying healthy. So today we are going to share some healthy and less time-consuming recipes which are not only healthy but great in taste too.

So let’s see,


Suji dosa is one of the healthiest and tasty breakfast options. It is a great option if you don’t have enough time to prepare your meal as it can be prepared in less than half an hour. So let’s throw a look at the ingredients and procedures to make suji dosa.

Preparation time-10 minutes.
Cooking time-15 minutes.


  • ½  cup finely coarse suji (Semolina).
  • ½ cup fine rice flour.
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (Maida).
  • 1 tablespoon curd (Dahi).
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1/2 chili finely chopped.
  • 1 inch finely grated ginger.
  • 1 finely chopped onion.
  • 2-3 tablespoon coriander (Dhania) leaves finely chopped.
  • 2 tablespoon curry leaves finely chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin (Jeera).
  • Water as required to make a fine batter of the right consistency.
  • Cooking Oil.


  1. Take a mixing bowl and nicely mix suji, rice flour and maida.
  2. Now add 1 tablespoon curd, 1 tsp salt and water and mix well. The mixture should be lumps free.
  3. Next add chopped chili, grated ginger, cumin,  chopped curry leaves,  chopped coriander leaves and finely chopped onion.
  4. Prepare a batter of watery consistency by finely mixing all the ingredients.
  5. Keep the batter for 10-15 minutes so that the suji absorbs the water nicely.
  6. Once again mix the batter properly to get a watery consistency.
  7. Put a pan (Tawa) on the gas stove and preheat the pan.
  8. Now pour the batter on the Tawa slowly and equally spread the batter in the Tawa.
  9. Cook in low flame until the dosa turns crispy and golden in color.
  10. Fold the dosa and serve with any kind of chutney(sauce).


Dhokla is a Gujarati dish traditionally made with besan (gram flour) but to make it more tasty and healthy you can prepare it with chana dal(split chickpeas). Chana dal dhokla is very tasty and can be enjoyed with or without chutney.

Preparation time: 10 minutes.
Cooking time: 25 minutes.
Resting time: 8-10 hours.


  • 1 cup chana dal (Split Chickpeas).
  • ¼ cup rice (white rice).
  • 1-inch grated ginger.
  • 2-3 green chilies.
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • ¼ cup yogurt (Dahi).
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • ½ teaspoon eno fizz or fruit salt.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame(Til).
  • 1 tsp cumin/jeera.
  • 4-5 curry leaves.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar.
  • 2-3 tsp lemon juice.
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut.
  • 2-3 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves.
  • Water as required.


  1. In a mixing bowl add the chana dal and rice, mix them together.
  2. Add water to the bowl and let them soak for 3-4 hours.
  3. Next, drain off the water from the bowl and transfer the mixture.
  4. Add the mixture to the grinder.
  5. Add 1 chili and ginger and grind to make a fine batter paste.
  6. Transfer the batter to a big mixing bowl and add yogurt, turmeric powder and salt.
  7.  Further, add ½ cup water and mix well to make a smooth batter.
  8. Cover the mixture and let it rest for 4-5 hours.
  9. After 4-5 hours add eno fizz to the batter and transfer the batter to a greased pan.
  10. Put the greased pan on a big pan and steam for 25 minutes.
  11. Your dhokla is cooked and now cut the dhokla into desired pieces.
  12. Now for tempering put a pan on the gas stove, add 2 tablespoons of oil on the hot pan and add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, let the mustard seeds to shutter.
  13. Add curry leaves, hing, cumin, egg and green chili to the pan.
  14. Add 1 cup water and 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice.
  15. Let the water boil until the sugar is totally dissolved.
  16. Pour the tempering over the dhokla.
  17. Enjoy your dhokla with any chutney and don’t forget to garnish it with coriander leaves.   

Omelet without egg-

Egg omelet is one of the most preferred items for breakfast. It is healthy and tasty too. But today we are going to share with you an omelet recipe which you can prepare without egg. It is healthy and doesn’t lack taste.

Preparation time: 10 minutes.
Cooking time: 10 minutes.


  • 1 cup besan also known as gram flour.
  • ¼ cup wheat or rice flour.
  • 2 medium-sized finely chopped tomatoes.
  • 1 medium-sized finely chopped onion.
  • 1 medium-sized carrot finely chopped.
  • 1 small capsicum finely chopped.
  • 2 green chili finely chopped.
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin(jeera) powder.
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Cooking oil as required.


  1. First, in a mixing bowl, add all the veggies that are tomatoes, onion, carrot and capsicum and mix them well.
  2. Now in the same mixing bowl add the besan and wheat or rice flour and mix everything.
  3. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt to the mixture.
  4. Slowly add water and mix everything to form a smooth batter, stir the mixture continuously and don’t add too much water at a time. Make sure that the mixture should be lumps free.
  5. Now it's time to heat the pan and grease it with oil.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pan forming a round shape.
  7. Cover the lid and let it cook on one side.
  8. Flip the omelet and again cook the other side.
  9. Your omelet should be a little crispy.
  10. Serve your omelet with your tomato ketchup or coconut chutney or any other chutney.


The sandwich is one of the easiest dishes. It can be prepared in very little time. It is very healthy and tasty too.

Preparation time- 5 minutes.
Cooking time- 5 minutes.


  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds( Jeera).
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds (Saunf).
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • 3 bread slices for a sandwich.
  • 2 teaspoons green chutney.
  • 2 tomato slices.
  • 4 boiled potato slices.
  • 2 cucumber slices.
  • Ketchup or tomato sauce.
  • 2 slices of onion.
  • 2 tsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp sandwich masala.



  1. First, take the bread and slice the edges of all the bread slices.
  2. Add green chutney on one bread slice and butter on the other two bread slices.
  3. Place 2 boiled slices of potato on the green chutney bread slice.
  4. Mix cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black pepper, chaat masala and salt to make the sandwich masala.
  5. Sprinkle the sandwich masala over the potato slices placed on the green chutney bread slice.
  6. Next place the tomato slices and cucumber over the potato slice.
  7. Cover it with one buttered bread slice with the buttered side facing downwards.
  8. Now again spread green chutney on the other side of the butter bread side.
  9. Add onion slice and sprinkle some sandwich masala.
  10. Again place the remaining boiled potato slices.
  11. Finally, cover the slices with the buttered bread slice facing downward just like you did in step 7.
  12. Garnish it with tomato sauce or ketchup.
  13. Cut the sandwich according to your wish and enjoy it with your tea or coffee.
