  1. Dalia- 1 cup.
  2. Carrots finely chopped- 1 medium-sized.
  3. Peas- ½ cup.
  4. Medium-sized potato- 1.
  5. Dry chili- 2.
  6. Oil- 1 tbsp.
  7. Curry leaves- 4 to 5.
  8. Onion finely chopped- 1 medium-sized.
  9. Urad dal- ¼ cup.
  10. Mustard seed- ½ teaspoon.
  11. Turmeric powder- ½ teaspoon.
  12. Water as required.
  13. Salt to taste.


  • Heat the pan and saute the dalia for 2-3 mins until it turns golden brown. You can notice an aroma. Transfer the dalia in a plate and keep it aside.
  • Put the oil in the pan and add the dry chili and mustard seed.
  • Once the mustard seeds start popping add curry leaves and onions and saute them nicely.
  • Add the urad dal(Vigna mungo) followed by the veggies and saute them for a while.

  7. Salt.


  • Put dalia and curd in a mixing bowl and mix them well. Add water to the mixture and keep it aside for 60mins.
  • In a blender, blend the mixture to make a fine paste.
  • Heat a nonstick pan and put some ghee in the pan.
  • Spread the batter/paste nicely over the nonstick pan.
  • Cover the lid of the pan and let it cook in low flame for 1-2 mins.
  • After that turn the pancake and let the other side cook.

  1. 1/2 cup boiled broken dalia.
  2. 1/2 cup boiled green peas.
  3. 1 medium-sized boiled carrot.
  4. 2 medium-sized boiled potato.

  7. 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste.
  8. 1 green chili, finely chopped.
  9. 2 teaspoon coriander leaves finely chopped.
  10. 1 teaspoon red chili powder.
  11. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder.
  12. 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder.
  13. Salt as per taste.
  14. Oil as required.
  15. 1 teaspoon chaat masala.
  16. 1 teaspoon lemon juice.


  • Add boiled dalia, boiled potatoes, boiled peas and carrot in a mixing bowl and mix them well.
  • Add onions, green chilies, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, 5 tablespoons breadcrumbs, along with all other spices you want to the mixture.
  • Mix everything well to combine.
  • Divide the mixture into 7-8 portions.
  • Make a ball of each portion and flatten between your palms into the shape of a small Tikki.
  • Coat each Tikki with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a pan under a low flame.
  • Shallow fry all the Tikkis from both sides until they turn golden and crispy. Or bake the Tikkis in the microwave.
  • Cook both sides under low to medium flame.
